A resume is a glimpse of your career life and the achievements, accolades accumulated over the years. Given that a healthcare professional or someone with a background in pharmacy has so much to fill in; often it becomes challenging to select and present only the important events. To quote Winston Churchill – “If I had more time, I would have written a shorter letter.” seems apt here. Let’s look at the following criteria when building a resume for Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance.
1. Subject Related Content
Appropriate subject related content is the key here. When our aim is to get placed as a Drug Safety Associate/Physician or a Medical Reviewer we must include relevant courses or work history in relation with that. Any experience even voluntary in the health sector and pharmacies will benefit one’s resume. It’s wise to omit older achievements and replace them with newer ones.
2. Resume Writing by Professionals
A resume will be the window to your career life and your personality. At MediPharm solutions, the students are helped by certified professionals who have years of experience in Drug Safety and have gone through the placement process themselves. The help offered is based on real life experiences and after understanding what is required of the roles in Pharmacovigilance.
3. Market Needs
Understanding the current market needs and demands is also an angle to approach when writing a resume. Say a company is only hiring in lead roles and you have all the skills of a Drug Safety Professional with a few years of experience of a product and saw it process end to end. It’s wise to understand that you would fit the role of a Lead Safety Strategist and mold your resume in such a way then. This is an example of what managers look for when hiring. The team of safety professionals with us will help you understand the market and direct you to the correct job.
